CANDLE CARE & SAFETY DISCLAIMER

At **Cabin Zen Candles and Fragrances**, we take pride in the handcrafted quality of our home fragrance products. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience with our candles, please read and adhere to the following safety guidelines and legal disclaimers.

1. GENERAL CANDLE SAFETY
Failure to follow these instructions can result in fire hazard, personal injury, or property damage.
*   **Never Leave Unattended:** Always burn candles within sight. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
*   **Keep Away From Drafts:** Keep away from drafts, ceiling fans, open windows, and any air currents that can cause uneven burning or flare-ups.
*   **Keep Away From Children & Pets:** Keep candles out of reach of children and pets at all times.
*   **Safe Placement:** Place candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface and keep away from anything that can catch fire (curtains, books, bedding, decor, etc.).
*   **Keep Wax Pool Clean:** Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches, and debris.

2. WOOD WICK CARE (Mason Jar & Signature Collections)
Our wood wicks provide a unique crackling sound and atmosphere. For the best burn:
*   **Wick Trimming:** Trim the wood wick to approximately **1/8"–1/4"** before every burn. Remove any loose, charred wood from previous burns to help maintain a steady flame.
*   **Full Melt Pool:** Allow the wax pool to melt all the way to the edges of the vessel (especially on the first burn). This helps prevent tunneling and supports an even burn.
*   **Relighting:** If the wick appears to struggle, extinguish the flame, let the wax cool, trim the charred tip, and relight.

3. DOUGH BOWL SPECIFICS
Because our dough bowls are handcrafted from natural wood, they require extra care:
*   **Handcrafted Variations:** Each dough bowl is unique. Variations in wood grain, knots, color, and shape are normal and part of the rustic, handcrafted nature of the product.
*   **Heat-Resistant Surface:** Always place dough bowl candles on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface or tray. The wood vessel may become warm during use.
*   **Do Not Burn to Wood:** Do **not** burn the candle down to the wooden surface. Extinguish and discontinue use before the flame gets close to the wood to avoid scorching or a potential fire hazard.

4. MASON JAR CARE
*   **Burn Time Limit:** Do not burn for more than **four (4) hours** at a time. Allow the candle to cool completely before relighting.
*   **When to Discontinue:** Discontinue use when **1/2" of wax remains** in the bottom of the jar.
*   **Safe Placement:** Always place the jar on a heat-resistant surface and allow the glass to cool before moving or handling.
